Joe's Farewell Fandango
This past Saturday we all gathered to celebrate the notable career of our long-time sales representative, Joe Elkjer.
The 'ho down' took place at an airplane hangar large enough to hold at least one football field. But with all of Joe's friends, family, and colleagues--a total group of about 120 people--there to wish him well, the space filled up and became an intimate atmosphere full of food, photos, and fun.
Joe and his wife, Jenny, were the first ones out of their seats, moving and grooving to the classic rock hits played by the four-piece, live ensemble. They dimmed the lights and soon the dance floor was filled.
With food, drinks, and desserts-a-plenty, there was something for everyone; but Joe's evident joy takes the cake as the best part of the evening.
He has made an impact on so many lives, and witnessing the happiness that the assembled group brought him on Saturday was truly special.
Everyone there helped make the whole party a hit, and create the perfect way for us to say 'good luck' (but not good bye!) to Joe as he 'rides off into the sunset' and journeys into retirement.
